Once again, we are hosting the New York State Invitational Championship on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Queens College. The tournament is a great way to be part of the team spirit of your school. It is also an important culmination of all your hard work and dedication.
The Purpose of participating in the tournament is to become more experienced, gain confidence and widen your knowledge of Tae Kwon Do so that some day you can reach your goal in becoming a Black Belt and a winner in life.
All students are invited to be part of this exciting day of competition. It is a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate your skills and talents in areas such as form, sparring and breaking.
Medals are presented to first, second, and third place winners in each category. You will be competing against students from other schools in the World Tae Kwon Do Federation in your own age and belt level. Family and friends are encouraged to cheer their participating students.
Due to limited availability and extremely large number of anticipated participants, we advice you to register early to ensure your opportunity to compete in the tournament. I wish you the best of luck in the tournament.
